I'll sign off now with one final picture of the happy Hibs players. There is no football tomorrow but tune in for online Premiership highlights from 18:00 BST.

Thanks for your company and enjoy the rest of your Saturday.

That result nudges Hibs up to fourth in the Championship, above Raith Rovers on goal difference, and Livingston drop down to the bottom of the table.

Hibs are 14 points behind leaders Hearts, with a derby coming up at Easter Road next weekend. That should be tasty.

  3. FULL-TIMEpublished at 19:23 BST 18 October 2014

The short journey back to Edinburgh will be a happy one for the Hibs fans, who haven't had too much to cheer about this season. The goals came from Dominique Malonga, Danny Handling, Dylan McGeouch and Paul Heffernan.

We're into stoppage time now, with Hibs cruising to a comfortable victory.

  5. GOALpublished at 19:15 BST 18 October 2014

Was that his first touch? I think it was. Paul Heffernan is celebrating within a minute of coming on as he slides in at the near post to convert a smart delivery from Lewis Stevenson.

Hibs make their final change as Paul Heffernan comes on for the final six minutes, replacing Jason Cummings.

Time for another photo. Danny Handling curls in a lovely shot to make it 2-0 on 53 minutes. The pick of the goals so far...

    Dundee Utd manager Jackie McNamara

"Nadir is getting better and hopefully he'll get a good bit of confidence from that. He had a good chance in the first half but did well to stick away the penalty.

"It think it's been the story of our season so far that we're winning when not at our best. I thought we looked very nervous and the frustration from the crowd was going on to the players.

"It's an important three points at home to keep the unbeaten run going. It wasn't pretty, but we got there in the end."

Dundee United stay in second place thanks to a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle at Tannadice.

There was a bit of a tiff at the penalty, with Jason Cummings seemingly upset that he wasn't getting to take it. The striker is fired up now as his back-post header is saved by Darren Jamieson.

  10. Postpublished at 19:05 BST 18 October 2014

Hibs boss Alan Stubbs elects to give goalscorers Dominique Malonga and Danny Handling a rest, with Alex Harris and Sam Stanton coming on for the final 15 minutes or so.

  11. GOALpublished at 18:59 BST 18 October 2014

It looks like game over now as Dylan McGeough slams home from 12 yards.

Referee Greg Aitken awards the penalty as Jason Cummings is brought down by Craig Sives. The Hibs striker is stumbling as he ventures into the box with the ball but Sives goes to ground ridiculously early and is just lying there waiting for someone to fall over him.

  12. PENALTYpublished at 18:59 BST 18 October 2014

    Hibs have a spot-kick.

  13. Postpublished at 18:58 BST 18 October 2014

With the rain hammering down again, it's just not happening for the home side. Some of their approach play is good but it all unravels near the penalty box.

  14. Postpublished at 18:55 BST 18 October 2014

Livi are caught short on the break as Dominique Malonga speeds forward from the right and chips in a cross for strike partner Jason Cummings but defender Jason Talbot does enough to make sure the header is off target.

  15. Postpublished at 18:54 BST 18 October 2014

The home side make a couple of changes, with Rob Ogelby and Myles Hippolyte coming on. If there's a posher-sounding name in Scottish football I've yet to hear it...

    Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston

"I don't think it was a classic game. I think it was a bit scrappy from both teams at times.

"I feel like we passed the ball really well in the previous game against Dundee United, but this was always going to be a hard place to come. Overall, I think we deserved to win. We had a couple of chances to win by even more, but St Johnstone are a hard team to play against.

"They are quite direct, look for second balls and put a lot of crosses into the box, so the players at the back stood up really well and then we looked really dangerous on the counter-attack with the pace we have got."

Killie have picked up 20 points from 10 league matches after today's 2-1 win in Perth.

  17. Postpublished at 18:46 BST 18 October 2014

Hibs are in the mood now as Dominique Malonga pings a rising shot wide of the target and Jason Cummings tests Darren Jamieson with a cheeky strike at the keeper's near post.

  18. GOALpublished at 18:42 BST 18 October 2014

A sucker punch for Livi, who were so close to an equaliser just a few moments ago. Scott Allan drives forward and picks out Jason Cummings with a raking pass, the striker's touch on the edge of the box isn't great but the ball breaks to Danny Handling and the midfielder is much more assured, stroking a sweet, low shot into the corner of the net.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:41 BST 18 October 2014

Hibs have Mark Oxley and David Gray to thank for preserving their lead as both men combine to deny Kyle Jacobs.

Oxley does brilliantly to throw out an arm to get a hand to the Livi midfielder's header from a corner and Gray is on the post to complete the clearance.

    Dundee manager Paul Hartley

"We were really down to the bare bones this week. We had two bereavements. McPakes's dad died during the week and was buried today, so he missed out. Davidson's stepfather passed away during the week, Ferry was diagnosed with bronchitis and Letheren twisted his knee during the warm-up.

"But credit to the guys out there. They really dug in and were fantastic. I thought we started really sharply, that was important after the run of results we had been on. We looked bright early doors and got two really good goals and it could have been more.

"Even in the second half, I thought in the first 10 minutes we created good situations, we were just a wee bit wasteful.

"We always knew Motherwell would come back into it and we had to change the shape a little bit throughout the match."

Dundee were 3-1 winners at Fir Park.
