  3. 'Not a lot of football ever gets played here'published at 17:36 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Hamilton 1-2 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson: "This is a difficult place to come. The surface levels everything out. There's not a lot of football ever gets played here. When you go 1-0 down, with our boys you know they are never going to give up. Andy Rose had a great finish to bring us back into the game, he was terrific all day, and then we always had the momentum to go on and win the game. He reminds me of a young Stephen Pearson. We knew Peter Hartley was a goal threat. I thought he was a colossus at both ends of the pitch. His leadership qualities are there for all to see. Hopefully we might be able to get something done with him."

  4. Levein's reverse engineeringpublished at 17:31 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Ross County 1-2 Hearts

Hearts manager Craig Levein: "I was pleased in lots of spells in the match where we passed the ball and looked quite assured but then we would take a little knock and our confidence would go. I was delighted that we not only passed the ball well again [in the second half] but had to contend with going down to 10 men. I probably had more teenagers on the pitch today than I would have liked but they all did well. They [strikers Isma Goncalves and Kyle Lafferty] are past the age of changing how they play so it's just a case of finding out what they are good at it, letting them do that and then working everything else around that. I was really pleased with John Souttar. He won a lot of headers today. Overall I am really thrilled to have had a hard game away from home, down to 10 men and to still have managed to hold on."

  5. 'The players have knocked their pan in'published at 17:24 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes: "When you come to Easter Road you are not going to get it all your own way. I thought it was fiercely contested. The goal had loads of quality about it - the build-up approach play, the weight of pass, the timing of the run and the finish. We managed to keep the Hibs threat to a minimum. I thought Hibs were very good up until the final third. It's very pleasing for Gary because it's been stop-start for him. We have managed to win a very tight match. The players have knocked their pan in. That's three clean sheets in a row."

  6. 'Champions do that bit extra'published at 17:20 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Celtic 1-0 Dundee

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: "The players have been away, only came together on Friday and we were a bit disjointed. We showed quite a few moments of quality but needed to find the final ball more accurately. There is no doubting the spirit in the team. We're into a run of games where there is a big demand physically on us. Champions do that bit extra. Dundee have been together for two weeks focusing on this game whereas our boys have been travelling all round the place and still managed to get the result."

  7. Lennon wants more from forwardspublished at 17:16 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon: "I'm frustrated. We were excellent. It's just in the final third we were lacking. Aberdeen are a good side. We worked Joe Lewis in the second, we had 16 attempts at goal, three on target; that is my bug bear. We defended really well. I always believed we could get an equaliser but it wasn't to be. I need more from my forward players.

"We are playing well. It's probably the best at home for a while, but we've lost; that's the bottom line. I can't criticise the performance today."

  8. Happy days for Dons fanspublished at 17:13 BST 14 October 2017

    FT Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

From the moment Gary Mackay-Steven scored the opener for Aberdeen in 38 minutes against Hibs until Olivier Ntcham's goal for Celtic against Dundee 16 minutes into the second half, these Dons fans were celebrating being top of the league.

  10. A bit of nonsensepublished at 17:08 BST 14 October 2017

Well, we had one half of the famous East Fife 5 Forfar 4 scoreline. East Fife did score five today and their opponents scored four times but, I'm afraid, no amount of accent wangling will make Albion Rovers sound as satisfying as "Fawfah".

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:51 BST 14 October 2017

    Partick Thistle 0-2 Kilmarnock

Kris Doolan shows great control to take down a high ball and shoot but goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald pulls off an equally impressive save.

Moments later, Conor Sammon's effort comes off the post and rolls into the arms of the Kilmarnock keeper.

It just isn't Partick Thistle's day.

    Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen continue to get back in numbers to keep Hibs at bay, with manager Derek McInnes gesturing to the large Dons support to make some noise to help get them through this. BBC Sportsound summariser Allan Preston reckons they are now playing with a flat back six, with four in midfield. Somewhere former Scotland manager Craig Levein is having a wry smile to himself.
