It's all over. That was an entertaining game.

They did have a chance to equalise as Xavier Quintilla volleys wide at the back post.

Actually play has gone on for another minute or so.

Thibaut Courtois comes racing out of his box to stop a Villarreal attack.

Vinicius Jr on the ball again as he controls it on his back. Amazing. He goes outside instead of inside and his cross is blocked for a corner.

Villarreal can't clear the corner and Isco smashes a shot over the bar.

Thibaut Courtois catches Santi Cazorla's corner.

Corner to Villarreal.

Four minutes added on.

Carlos Bacca goes round Thibaut Courtois... and controls it too wide. He's far off full fitness after recent problems. He's let them down a few times now.

Villarreal midfielder Vicente Iborra kicks down Vinicius Jr as the teenager speeds away from him. Definite yellow card.

This touch is even worse from Carlos Bacca from Gerard Moreno's pass over the top. Samuel Chukwueze was waiting in the centre for a tap-in.

Almost a Villarreal chance but Carlos Bacca can't control Santi Cazorla's fine through ball.

The game's over now really. The only things left of note are whether Mariano can score a hat-trick or Vinicius Jr can bag on his comeback.

Vinicius Jr cuts inside and shoots well wide. The only thing missing from the Brazilian teenager's game is the ability to finish.

Villarreal defender Alvaro Gonzalez is booked for a foul on Mariano. That's Villarreal's second yellow card.

Mariano now has a shot blocked and the ball breaks for Vinicius Jr, whose 14-yard effort is saved.

Mariano has a chance for a hat-trick but miscontrols the ball and then shoots straight at the keeper's chest.

Villarreal substitute Carlos Bacca tries his luck from 40 yards but Thibaut Courtois saves.

And the Belgian makes another good stop as Gerard Moreno cuts inside and has a go.
