    FT: Aberdeen 2-1 Hearts

Aberdeen's match-winner Greg Stewart to BT Sport on his goal: "It was long overdue. It's a tight league this year- it's so competitive. We've got the result so it's up to Kilmarnock now."

On where he'll be playing his football next season: "I just want to finish the season strong here, and the summer will take care of itself. I just want to focus on getting that third place."

We didn't see too much from Greg Stewart but then he came up with that special finish. If that is to be his last hurrah at Pittodire, then it's a good way to do it.

Hearts fought right to the end but Aberdeen had the class and got the goals. Aberdeen deserved it - can Kilmarnock respond?

    FT: Aberdeen 2-1 Hearts

That's only Aberdeen's second home win of 2019.

Greg Stewart's superb finish clinches victory, after Bobby Burns equalised for Hearts.

It was Lewis Ferguson who smashed Aberdeen in front initially. All that came after the break. The less said about the first 45, the better.

Joe Lewis probably should have walked for that challenge on Steven MacLean. In fact, there are tackles flying in all over the place in what is proving to be very feisty end to the game.

Steven MacLean picks up a booking now for an arm on Scott McKenna. Not many who haven't been booked tonight. 40 fouls, the stats say. Yes, 40.

    Three minutes to be added.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 87 mins

    Aberdeen 2-1 Hearts

    Wow.

Steven MacLean charges through on goal, he nicks it round Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis and goes down. Referee Bobby Madden says it's a free-kick outside the box and a yellow card.

Lucky boy. He made contact with MacLean there. Sean Clare smashes the free-kick high and wide.

I doubt the irony of Greg Stewart scoring a goal that could deny Kilmarnock European football, will not be lost on Killie boss Steve Clarke.

The forward spent the first half of the season at Rugby Park on loan.

  11. CLOSE!published at 83 mins

    Aberdeen 2-1 Hearts

Greg Stewart fashions a chance but volleys it wide. He might have left that one for Sam Cosgrove who was in a better position to hit it. The potential match-winner then departs. Stevie May is on for Aberdeen.

    Dangerous free-kick here for Aberdeen.

    Greg Stewart

    Yes, is the answer.

Another great cross comes in, I think, by James Wilson. The ball's cut back to Stewart and he smashes it past Colin Doyle. Lovely play.

One again, it's Max Lowe doing the damage for Aberdeen. His cross comes off Connor Shaughnessy and Colin Doyle reacts brilliantly to prevent the own-goal.
