Now then, we head briefly back to Leicester, where Brendan Rodgers says he doesn’t understand why fans booed former Foxes defender Harry Maguire in England’s 3-0 win over Ivory Coast at Wembley on Tuesday.

"My question would be what help does it do? By nature of the word supporter, you are there to support," Rodgers said.

"He has the focus on him at a big club. Internationally, Harry has been a great player for England over these past three or four seasons.

"Maybe it's just the modern world, patience is short now. It doesn’t do a player any good. You support through the good and the bad."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says bringing in a five substitute rule would be good for the Premier League: "There will be some changes because that gives you other opportunities and the game will have some changes tactically, the most important thing is it helps you manage the load of the players.

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira says Wilfried Zaha and Michael Olise will be assessed over the coming days before a decision is made over their availability to face Arsenal.

Zaha was unable to play for Ivory Coast against England at Wembley on Tuesday due to a hamstring problem, while Olise missed France under-21s’ second fixture during the break with a foot issue.

“[Zaha] is still in the medical room,” Vieira said.

“We will see how it is going to be tomorrow, but we have to wait for the next couple of days before thinking about him starting training with the squad.

"We have until Monday so hopefully he will get better, and he can have a couple of days of training with the team. We don’t know. The good thing about Wilfried is that he does not get injured very often. That is the hope about that.

“Olise just had an issue with his foot. He is not ready to do some work outside. Both of them still have a chance [of playing against Arsenal].”

Was Jesse Marsch listening to Ralph Hasenhuttl's news conference earlier?

The Southampton boss spoke positively of the American and now it is Marsch's turn to talk up the Austrian.

"In 2016-17 in the winter Ralph was kind enough to allow me to join his staff for six or seven weeks," said the Leeds boss.

"He is an incredible human being. That is the first thing that needs to be said.

"He is a really good person that cares about the environments he creates. Then he is a sharp, intelligent manager. He believes in a lot of the same principles as me. I learned a lot from that time I spent with him. It may help me prepare now, but i look back on it as helpful and special time."

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is asked to give his thoughts on being able to use five substitutes.

Five substitutes were introduced across the game in May 2020 after the shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

However, controversially, the Premier League became the only major competition to ditch the rule for the compressed 2020-21 season because some objected that it gave the clubs with bigger squads an unfair advantage.

The American says he would be in "favour of it" in the Premier League.

"It makes games faster and more intensive and gives more playing time for the players. I came from a situation where two years I was working with five subs. Back to three makes me feel handcuffed.

"Better teams have better rosters, but they also have a better starting elevens. I like, with the way we play, being able to use more fresh players."
