Let's not forget this wasn't a Rafael Nadal who was out of form, this was a Rafael Nadal who had been on a 16-match winning streak.

That just further underlines Roger Federer's impressive display today.

    Phenomenal. Simply phenomenal.

Roger Federer races to three championship points and although Nadal saves one it only delays victory for Federer as the world number two takes the next point to seal a straight sets victory.

There's no stopping Federer when he is in this kind of form.

Is Federer faltering? Faltering is a bit strong but Nadal is showing glimpses that he might have an answer to Federer's service game.

A return down the middle catches Federer off guard, 15-15, and although Federer responds wiht a booming ace, Nadal manages a response on the next point that leads to Federer finding the net to make it 30-30.

Federer sends a backhand effort into the corner before Nadal loops a return long and Federer takes the game.

Still, a better effort from Nadal on Federer's serve.

No early break for Federer this time as Nadal holds serve.

He's made to work for it by Federer but a forehand return at 40-30 catches the Swiss off balance and he can't quite get to the ball at the baseline.
