  2. 'A roller coaster' - Sockpublished at 22:12 GMT 16 November 2017

Jack Sock on Sky Sports: "That was a roller coaster match, he played well in the second, I didn't have the hottest start in the third but I kept in there and kept fighting".

Speaking about his point penalty he said: "Sometimes you have to let it [the frustration] out, blow it off and keep playing".

On his semi-final against Dimitrov: "He has played some incredible tennis, had an amazing 2017, I will have to play some of my best tennis to win. We have played each other numerous times before, know each other well and it should be a fun match."

It’s an incredible result and how many twists and turns were there? Sock didn’t show up for the second set but it’s the way he plays, he’s in and out. You can see how effective he can be when he’s on form.

But a big disappointment for Sascha Zverv, a horrible feeling when the opportunity was there and he just didn’t out his game on court.

What a turnaround with Sock 4-1 up and looking like he was sailing home. It’s hard to imagine who’s going to be able to get over the line tonight. The Zverev backhand was really, really solid there.

What Sock has just done is frankly dangerous, hitting the ball as hard as he can into the crowd. He’s got no clue where it’s going. Hopefully it didn’t hit anybody. I can understand the frustration but you just can’t do that.

That wasn’t too clever from Sock’s perspective, he rather let that one unravel too quickly. He didn’t burn too much energy in that second set, that’s one thing we can say.
