  1. Brtexit!published at 19:19 BST 27 September 2020

So that is that for today. It was a British tennis exit (Brtexit?!) today as Dan Evans, Andy Murray and Jo Konta were dumped out of the French Open at the first-round stage.

Do not fear though because Brits Cameron Norrie and Liam Broady, who qualified for the first round, are in action on Monday.

Elsewhere, we have Rafael Nadal beginning his defence as he bids to equal Roger Federer's total of 20 Slam singles titles.

US Open champion Dominic Thiem and the great Serena Williams - seeking a record-equalling 24 single Slam titles - are also in action.

    Until then.

  2. 'I had to stay on my game'published at 19:08 BST 27 September 2020

    Konta 3-6 3-6 Gauff

"I'm definitely happy to come out with the win, it's difficult to play in these conditions. She's a great competitor so I had to stay on my game," said Coco Gauff.

"I always want to win so try to stay competitive. Sometimes you have to bounce around more than normal when it's cold!"

  3. 'It seems like a few players are struggling with the heavy conditions'published at 19:08 BST 27 September 2020

Strange unforced errors from Jo. That final ball was hit halfway up the net - it was normally a shot she'd hit a winner off.

It seems like a few players are struggling with these heavy conditions today.

    Naomi Broady

We often speak about Coco and express how good she is for her age. She won the juniors here two years ago and she's only 16. She can actually still compete in the juniors.

Gauff hasn't done much wrong. She is struggling though with second serves on the outside. I'm sure she'll be hitting serves in the next few days and making it better for the second match.

    Konta 3-6 2-3 Gauff*

Oh! Konta attacks a floating Gauff shot but nails it straight into the tape and it flicks up and wide.

Gauff wheels into a forehand winner on the next.. and then double faults. 40-30.

She'd be out of sight without those today.
