Former police station in Paisley goes on sale for £75,000
Shepherd Chartered SurveyorsA former police station in Paisley that closed last year is to go on the market as a "potential development opportunity".
Offers in excess of £75,000 are being invited for Ferguslie Park police station, with surveyors saying the building has "scope for alternative use".
The station had not been open to the public for more than a decade when the force announced plans to dispose of it in May 2025, following a consultation.
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors said there had already been "keen interest" in the building.
The former police station occupies a prominent corner pitch on Ferguslie Park Avenue, near various schools, a community centre and a sports centre.
It includes a reception area with adjoining office, two larger rooms previously used as breakout spaces and multiple smaller storage and office spaces as well as W/C provisions.
A parking area to the rear of the building is secured behind a locked gate and houses a storage shed, as well as individual covered parking spaces for up to 10 vehicles.
Fraser McDonald, of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: "This former police station with secure off-street covered parking offers a potential development opportunity with scope for alternative use, subject to planning.
"As such, we have already received keen interest in this opportunity."
Last year, Ch Supt Rhona Fraser said it was not necessary to have the police station there, given it was two miles from Paisley police station and three miles from Johnstone police station.
She said: "By merging resources, we can ensure our focus remains on delivering frontline policing and enhancing community safety, rather retaining underutilised buildings."
