Heaps of loft insulation fly-tipped on road
Mark FishpoolA large quantity of loft insulation and other material was found by a litter picker after being fly-tipped on a small lane.
It was found on Sunday in Upton Road, close to the A47 in Peterborough.
Mark Fishpool, who set up the Pride in our Community volunteers group, said strong winds appeared to have blown the material all over the road.
It was reported and a spokesperson for the city council said staff cleared the waste on Monday morning.
Fishpool, whose group has about 1,500 followers on Facebook, shared the images online and described the perpetrators as "parasites".
The council said the fly-tipped waste consisted of insulation and packaging, and appealed for anyone with information to contact it.
