Firefighters say extractor fan caused house fire

A malfunctioning extractor fan is thought to have started a house fire in Devon, firefighters have said.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the blaze on Berkeley Way, Ivybridge, at about 16:00 BST.

It said the fire started in a bathroom and spread to the roof of the two-storey home.

Firefighters are treating the cause of the blaze as accidental.

There were no injuries, the service said.
