Man killed and three injured in Inverurie crash
Getty ImagesA 19-year-old man has been killed in a crash on the outskirts of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire.
The incident happened about 15:20 on Saturday on the B9001 road, just outside the town. A grey Citroen C2 and a white Range Rover Sport were involved.
The driver of the Citroen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 20-year-old female passenger of the Citroen, as well as the 60-year-old female driver and 64-year-old male passenger of the Range Rover, were taken to hospital where all are in a stable condition.
The road was closed for about 10 hours to allow for a full crash investigation to be carried out. It was re-opened about 01:00 on Sunday.
Sgt Alexander Bowser-Riley appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
"Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and those involved in the incident. We will continue to support them throughout the investigation," he said.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the crash and who may have dashcam footage which could assist us to contact police."
