Runway temporarily closed after plane tyre bursts

Guernsey Airport's runway was temporarily closed after a light aircraft's tyre burst on landing.

All on board the private plane were unhurt, said the airport.

The runway was closed for about 30 minutes on Wednesday morning to allow the aircraft to be recovered.

Guernsey Airport said the runway reopened at 09:49 BST and normal service has resumed.
