Candidates standing for Douglas South
MANX SCENESFive candidates will be standing in the general election for the Douglas South constituency.
Sitting between Douglas Central and Middle, Douglas South is on the outer edge of the capital.
The National Sports Centre and national stadium, The Bowl, both stand within the boundary, as well as the Douglas City Golf Club.

The area includes large local authority housing estates at Pulrose, Anagh Coar and Spring Valley, as well as residential developments at Farmhill and Ballaughton.
It also shares one of the busiest junctions on the island on its border with Douglas Central, Quarterbridge Roundabout, which feeds traffic travelling from the south and west into the capital.
The constituency had a population of 6,579, according to Electoral Commission figures from 2023. As of October 2025, 4,938 people were registered to vote.
