Wilcove fire: Crews tackle blaze in terraced houses
Pammie WhiteFirefighters have tackled a blaze in a row of terraced houses in Wilcove, near Torpoint, overnight.
Emergency services were called to the incident at about 01.40 BST after the fire spread from the roof of one property to others nearby.
Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service (CFRS) said eight appliances attended, with support from Devon and Somerset.
Two people suffered the effects of smoke inhalation. A "full fire investigation" has begun.
Evacuations saw at least eight people having to leave neighbouring properties.

CFRS Commander Jonathan Castleden praised the community spirit after the number of calls received.
"What was particularly good to see was community spirit in that area who invited the displaced people in their own homes overnight until we could move people back into their homes once we deemed the area safe," he said.
Mr Castleden added some people were still unable to return to their properties.
He said: "Fortunately, due to some very swift action from the attending crews from both Devon and Cornwall, we managed to prevent a significant amount of spread through the roof space that was impinging on the neighbouring properties.
"We are still adding water to the building, but due to a structural integrity of the building it is no longer safe for us to actually enter the building itself."

Photos taken from the scene on Sunday show the main property was badly damaged by the fire and blackened by smoke.
A spokesperson for CFRS said efforts to tackle the blaze had been complicated by "additional hazards".
Those included navigating "the building's structural safety", access and water supply issues, plus live electricity, they said.
