Coventry stabbing: Man injured in early morning attack

A man has been left seriously injured in a knife attack in Coventry.

The 20-year-old was stabbed in Upper Precinct in the city centre, where a large crowd had gathered, at about 03:30 BST on Friday morning.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and police have appealed for anyone with information to get in contact.

West Midlands Police detectives are checking CCTV from the area as part of their inquiry.

A spokesperson added: "We believe that there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident who may have video footage that could help our investigation,"
