There was a large police presence in Exchange Walk

Part of Nottingham city centre was sealed off by police after a man was found collapsed in the street.

Officers were called to Exchange Walk, near the city's Christmas market, earlier on Monday.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was trying to establish what happened to the man, but a force spokesperson said it was believed he had suffered a "medical episode".

Trams were disrupted while the police cordon was in place.

Part of the Christmas market was also shut while emergency services dealt with the situation.

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said services had resumed by 14:04 GMT.

Anyone with information about what happened has been urged to call the force, which is not treating the incident as suspicious.
